Altolamprologus fasciatus? Neolamprologus fasciatus?

    im Eschmeyer-Catalog steht folgendes:


    fasciatus, Lamprologus Boulenger [G. A.] 1898:494 [Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London 1898 (pt 3); ref. 20658] Kinyamkolo, Lake Tanganyika. Holotype (unique): BMNH 1898.9.9.3. Appeared first as above, then in more detail in Boulenger 1898:7, Pl. 1 (fig. 2) [ref. 547]. •Valid as Neolamprologus fasciatus (Boulenger 1898) -- (Maréchal & Poll 1991:279 [ref. 20946], Schelly et al. 2003:3 [ref. 27431]). Current status: Valid as Neolamprologus fasciatus (Boulenger 1898). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Tanganyika. Habitat: freshwater.


    Daher sollte, sofern nichts topaktuelles bekannt, Neolamprologus fasciatus gültig sein.

    Ich hänge meine Frage mal diesem Thread an:


    Im hiesigen Steckbrief zu Altolamprologus fasciatus steht geschrieben, dass mehrere Farbvarianten existieren würden.

    Das Internet gibt bzgl. Infos zu Standort-/Farbvarianten praktisch nichts her :ohoh:


    Thomas M. : Du hast wahrscheinlich in diesem Forum am meisten Erfahrung mit dieser Art. Kannst Du etwas berichten über standortspezifische Unterschiede?


    Mir ist bisher nur aufgefallen, dass der Gelbanteil unterschiedlich ausgeprägt ist. Eine Standortvariante mit viel Gelbanteil kommt offensichtlich aus Kasanga, wie auf den Fotos auf dieser website zu erkennen ist:

    Neolamprologus fasciatus; Altolamprologus fasciatus

    mittlerweile hat sich etwas getan und die Wissenschaft führt den Fisch nun (endlich?) als Altolamprologus fasciatus

    Die Tiere finde ich sehr interessant. Leider sind sie weder als Neo- noch als Altolamprologus häufig auf Stocklisten zu finden :ohoh: .

    Besonderes Interesse hätte ich an den Standortvarianten Kasanga, Lupota Island und Mbita Island.
