Last Saturday we added 3 Mastacembelus ellipsifer F1 to our tank
These came from Carsten Thorleif Stabel (DK) and I bought them at a store in Holland.
The seize is between de 15 and 20 cm.
We bought 1 ellipsifer of 20 cm and 2 ellipsifer's around 15 cm.
Hopefully 1/2... -
Hi Nijlpaard,
I wish You the best, nice "fishes" from Thorleif, I see sometimes his pictures at facebook, really great!Sorry for my bad English...
Hope You `ll have 1/2... -
Thanks a lot, Maggi!
I forgot to mention that the attenuatus female laid a batch of eggs (at 3 differents spots), but they were all eaten by the male.
This was a few weeks ago.I think she tried other spots, because the male ate the eggs. But that didn't help at all.
Next time might be better...?

Here is one of the ellipsifer's during daytime
-
Hi,
Great Picture !
-
Thanks a lot, Joerg!
Here a photo of one of our foai males.
-
,
Its Lunch or Dinner time Mr. Magara .......
PS.: you have a little Problem .....i see in the Ground cyano's
-
i Joerg, that must be a mistake.
There is a big rock laying in the sand with algae and also sand on top.
Probably the lack of light gives the idea of cyano's.No cyano's in our tank at all
Indeed, Mr. Magara is eating!
-
Nice Shot, can you do a few more?
And just do another short movie that would be great.

One of our Cyprichromis microlepidotus males has a bit of a head injury the last few days.
This wound is cleaned by a Synodontis polli white Zambia.
The photos were shot during daytime with a flash at a dark spot in the tank. The quality of
the photos is not that good, but it shows that the microlepidotus moves into position and
that the polli cleans the wound. The white spot at the background is where the polli hides during daytime.

Hey njilpaad
From Technik a very good Movie .
Very good Pictures, I take it like a trailer for a Film which is coming soon
A small Sorry : A Little Bit too many changes for my tasteOk waiting for the Movie
-
Thanks, Reiner.
I only use the parts that are sharp. Because not everything is sharp in a shot, I have these changes in the movies.
About 2 weeks ago we added a group of Xenotilapia spilopterus "Kipili" F1.
The spilopterus are a bit small (between 4 and 5cm).Some new photo's shot by my wife
Tha attenuatus seems to be pale, but probably because the photo is shot with flash
-
I like your spilopterusAnd Art the End - i prevere Not so goog Qualtity more Theo no Quality ( no Pictures / no Films)
